Who it is forBuilt for local editorial desks
lofigangs is made for the people who run a local news account: an editor covering one town, a small newsroom, a community media page. The problems it solves are theirs — the same story has to go out on three platforms, in three formats, on the same day, without a design team.
Access is granted to authorised editorial users of the outlets we work with. It is currently in use by the Vigneux en Vrai desk. To request access for your own outlet, write to contact@lofigangs.store.
How it worksFrom a local story to a published post
A story is picked up
Municipal decisions, road works, transport disruptions, local sport, culture, street life. Each subject is checked against the outlet's own editorial line before anything is produced.
The post is composed
A caption in the outlet's voice, and a visual built from its templates: typography, colour register, and the outlet's signature. One story, one consistent set of assets.
A person reviews it
The editor sees the finished post before anyone else does, and chooses the caption, the privacy level, and whether it goes out at all. Nothing is published without that step.
It goes out, or into drafts
Either published directly to the connected account, or placed in the account's TikTok drafts so the editor can finish it inside the TikTok app.
Results come back
Views and interactions per post and per format, so the desk can tell what its readers actually respond to rather than guessing.
TikTokWhat lofigangs does on TikTok
Once an account is connected, lofigangs can publish to it in two ways, chosen by the editor at review time:
- Post now — the photo or video is published directly to the connected account, with the
caption and privacy setting picked at review time. Uses
video.publish. - Send to drafts — the video is placed in the account's TikTok drafts, so the editor can
finish editing it inside the TikTok app before posting. Uses
video.upload.
The connected account's display name and avatar are read once, with
user.info.basic, so the editor can see which account they are about to publish to.
lofigangs does not browse, follow, comment, message, or read anyone else's content. It publishes only to accounts that have explicitly authorised it, and only content produced by the outlet that owns them.
Editorial rulesWhat we will not publish
lofigangs is an editorial tool, not a broadcast tool. Content that is unverified, that identifies private individuals without cause, or that would breach a platform's community guidelines does not get produced. Corrections are published as posts of their own rather than by quietly editing a live one.
